Last updated: April 11, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of ChefMate, including our website, apps, shared recipe surfaces, and related support channels operated by Corwood Labs, LLC.
Using ChefMate
You may use ChefMate only in compliance with applicable law and these Terms. You are responsible for activity taken through your account or device session and for keeping your own credentials and devices secure.
Your content and your rights
You retain ownership of recipe text, photos, comments, cook logs, notes, and other content you submit to ChefMate. You are responsible for making sure you have the rights needed to upload, import, save, share, or publish that content.
- Private drafts and original handwritten recipe-card images are intended to stay private unless you choose a surface that shares content with others.
- Shared recipe links, comments, shared cook logs, and other community-facing surfaces may be visible to other users or recipients of the link you create.
- You must not use ChefMate to post or distribute content that infringes copyright, violates privacy rights, or is otherwise unlawful.
Imports, generated outputs, and review responsibility
ChefMate includes recipe import and normalization tools that may use automated processing. Imported or generated outputs can be incomplete, incorrect, or unsuitable for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing ingredients, instructions, allergy or safety issues, and any published result before relying on it or sharing it with others.
Acceptable use
You may not use ChefMate to harass others, evade moderation, scrape or abuse the service, transmit malware, or misuse another person's account or content. We may investigate abuse, preserve relevant records, and cooperate with lawful requests when required.
Moderation, reports, and account action
ChefMate may review reports, restrict content, hide posts, limit sharing, suspend features, or disable accounts when we believe it is necessary to protect users, respond to abuse, or satisfy legal obligations. These decisions may be made manually, automatically, or through a combination of both.
Copyright complaints
If you believe material on ChefMate infringes your copyright, use the contact block published on our Copyright & DMCA page. ChefMate may remove or disable access to material while a complete notice is reviewed.
Service availability
ChefMate may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, or that every feature will remain available in its current form.
No cooking, nutrition, or legal advice
ChefMate is a cooking and organization tool. It does not provide medical, nutritional, allergy, food-safety, or legal advice. You are responsible for your own kitchen, ingredient, and dietary decisions.
Disclaimers and limits
ChefMate is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Corwood Labs, LLC disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising from your use of ChefMate.
